Museum of Rovereto

Established to encourage science, the Museo Civico is a landmark for the civil, economic and cultural life of Rovereto. Housed in Palazzo Parolari, the Museo Civico di Rovereto has developed as a result of a fruitful exchange with the city, its people and its local area.

The variety of interests cultivated here, which include natural sciences, archaeology, figurative arts and technology, have made it a landmark for the civil, economic and cultural life of the town.

With a view to further develop this deeply rooted tradition, the Museum is currently engaged in a new project aimed at shifting the focus from the conventional concept of the museum as simply a venue - albeit prestigious - to showcase exhibits, to that of a living institution branching out locally and capable of delivering a wide array of different experiences to visitors.

It actually organizes trips on the Silk Trail, visits on the dinosaurs' tracks, to the Lavini di Marco fossil area, to the artificial pond and vivarium of Malga Fos-Ce on Monte Baldo, and to the excavations of the Roman villa at Isera.
