Mild weather

The Tonelli family 4-star hotels on Lake Garda, are perfectly integrated into the natural "stage" of exceptional beauty, offered by this environment. A mild climate guarantees in all seasons pleasant stays on Lake Garda.
Despite its location in the north of the Italian peninsula - on the borders of Veneto, Trentino and Lombardy - Lake Garda is characterized by a mild climate that can be defined Mediterranean. This is mainly due to the mitigating influence of the water, which guarantees a temperated climate to the area; not too hot in summer and not to cold in winter, fall can be described as the rainy season; the presence of fog and snow is rare.
The mild climate is certainly due to the lush vegetation - oleanders, palms, cypresses, olive trees and vines - which can be seen around the lake. In particular, the olive groves and vineyards of the eastern part of the lake create high-quality olive oil and wine: among other Marzemino, Merlot, Cabernet, Bardolino and Custoza white wine.

A benevolent climate that accompanies and tracks the beauty of the landscape where you can breathe the rich aromas given off from the trees; also the shapes and colours of the picturesque towns, villages, churches, magnificent villas of the past and the imposing cliffs that run steeply into the water can be admired. This landscape has inspired many artists who have stayed here and were captivated by the magic of these places.
The northern part of Lake Garda is in almost all seasons the windiest. The winds that are blowing here are constantly, and make this part of the lake particularly suitable for sailing. Cities like Campione, a great area for competitions of windsurf enthusiasts, and Torbole known worldwide for sailing regattas.
