The city of Riva del Garda was, since ancient times, a land of diverse communities and since the second half of the 1800’s has been a tourist locale for the European elite.
From the architecture, one can sense the culture and history that inspired the construction of palaces in the Lombardy-Veneto style, the Torre Apponale, the Rocca, the rest of the walls and entrances to the medieval city, the Bastione, Villino Campi and the Ponale’s hydroelectric center, designed and builty by Giancarlo Maroni, the “architect of D’Annunzio”.
Many are the reasons for making this the historical starting point, inviting guests to visit and better familiarize themselves with the territory and community of Upper Garda.
